LECTURES
Week 1: 
Introduction to Blender
We were introduced to some basics aspect of 3D modeling. Additionally, we were told about what we would do and learn during this semester. After the lecture, we started our tutorial session where we were introduced to Blender.

Week 2: 
Polygon Modeling
After a short recap of what we did in week 1, we were introduced to a more complex usage of blender. We learned how to use other different tools such as how to add colour, modify the shapes, repeat them and so on. 

Modify
-Add modifier
-Look for simple deform (Twist, bend, etc..)
-Look for array to repeat the shapes

How to render:
-Press camera button
-Press N then go to view and lock to camera view
-Remove overlay
-Go to view 
-Then Viewpoint Render image

Week 3: 
Cylindrical Modeling
We were introduced on how to edit polygon circular objects such as the torus. 

Shortcut
-Press tab to switch from object to edit mode.
-Dissolve edges. Don't delete them or it'll become hollow. 
-Press CTRL 1 or 2 to add modifier subdivision (Used to make the object appear smooth) 
-Edge, Bevel edge then adjust.

Week 4 & 5:
Box Modeling
The topic of this lecture was to model using cubic shapes. We also tried to replicate the model of a car by following our lecturer's instructions. 

Week 6:
Boolean Modeling
This lecture's topic was about learning to model complex object using boolean operation (Union, Subtraction, Intersection) and creating good topology.

An important thing to know is how to rearrange your wireframes. By using loop cut or knife, you can rearrange them. Try to eliminate the triangular shapes and the n-gon (5 or more). 

Shortcut
- Press J to connect vertices.

Exercises
Week 1: 
During our first class, we tried on and practiced how to use the basics of Blender. We learned the shortcuts of the application and managed to practice a bit so as to get the gist of it.

Exercise 1: Modeling from Primitives Objects
We had a small task of trying to find ideas on what we wanted to create for our first exercise. It could be anything such as a robot, vehicles and so on. Below are the instructions provided to us.

Week 2: 
Final Exercise 1: Modeling from Primitives Objects (Before feedbacks) 
Here is my final attempt for exercise 1 after a few days of struggle. The joker card and Alice in Wonderland served as inspiration for the creation of my own character. I aimed for a sophisticated but slightly sinister appearance.

Final Exercise 1: Modeling from Primitives Objects (After feedbacks) 
After applying the changes that my lecturer suggested, here's the final result of exercise 1. I changed the black colour to a dark purple one. I also added a background and shadow as well. Additionally, I moved the character's crown/hat and put it onto her magic wand.

Week 3: 
Exercise 2: Cylindrical Modeling
In today's class, we practiced how to do cylindrical objects. As for instance, we took a water bottle as reference to practice all together during class. After that, we were given the task of either doing a composition of cylindrical objects ourselves or find one on the internet. To make it simple, I surfed Pinterest and found some compositions that I found pleasing to the eyes and interesting as well.

Process
After looking for my visual references, I started modeling the objects on Blender. I started by doing the wine glass since I thought it would allow me to get more used to the tools and shortcuts that we just learned.

Week 4: 
After doing the first two bottles, I wanted to do something a bit more challenging. Hence, I tried to find an object which had irregular cylindrical shapes. Sure, maybe I put the bar a bit too high for myself since I struggled a bit with the deformation of some parts but I believed that I learned more than I lost by doing this.

Here's the results of my cylindrical objects. I chose to do a lot of pottery shapes mostly as I found their shapes quite interesting to do.

After getting feedbacks from my lecturer, I tried to look for simpler shapes which would be more easy to identify.

Here's the result of my exercise 2 after taking into consideration the feedbacks of my lecturer.

Final Exercise 2: Cylindrical Modeling (Before feedbacks)
I tried to add solidify to my wine glass so that the tip of the glass would look less jaggy. Additionally, I used some other pottery elements as reference and also wanted to do a honeycomb jar as well.

Since our lecturer told us not to use pitch black colour, I went to make some changes and adjusted the colour of my bowl.

Considering the feedbacks of my lecturer, I lightened the colour of my background and floor.

Exercise 3: Box Modeling
We are to choose any object that is made from box shapes. We are to model an object based on that and at the end apply colour and base material. 

Visual Reference
I searched the internet to look up some references. I wanted to model a bookshelf since I thought this would be something easy enough for me to do.

Process
After finding a reference which was clear enough, I started my work using Blender as usual. I started with the top of the shelf. I assembled and superimposed the cubic shapes onto one another to create multiple layers.

Following that, I began working on the "curvy parts" of the shelf. I initially had some difficulty because I wasn't sure how to proceed ahead when using a cubic shape. But after some trial and error, I was able to figure it out and quickly understood the gist of it.

After finishing the modeling of my bookshelf, I added colours and shadows to my object.

Final Exercise 3: Box Modeling (Before feedbacks)

Week 6: 
Exercise 4: Modeling a Karambit
We are to refer to a karambit blueprint provided to us by our lecturer and recreate it using different techniques that we learnt throughout this semester. 

Shortcuts & Tips: 
- Go to edit preferences, add on, object bool tool
- Brush boolean, use difference so that you can continue to edit the objects still. 
- Use cylinder and cubes 
- Make sure wireframes are aligned
- Rotate the cube in the middle to align it to the shape
- If CTRL R doesn't work use knife tool

Week 7: 
I followed the steps shown by our lecturer for the karambit. I started off with a cylindrical shape and then used the brush boolean to add difference between both cylinders. Then, I also rearranged the wireframes so that they would be coordinated.

After finishing with the upper part, I moved on to the handle,

Then, I constructed the screw shape by using a UV sphere and cube shapes. I used the boolean brush tool to add difference to get the shape of the cross on the sphere.

Week 8: 
Here is the outcome for my exercise 4. I struggled a lot at first and I can say that this exercise was the most challenging one since the start of the semester. The karambit's sharp point and its black grip were tough for me to do. It took me multiple trials to finally get the 'trick' on how to proceed with it. Additionally, the fact that my Blender app was crashing at one point and I had to repeatedly redo the same process was really frustrating.

I changed the angle of my rendered image and tried to smooth out the pointy end as well.

FEEDBACKS
Week 4:
Special feedback: 
Exercise 1:
- Don't use pure black as colour, try to use brown, green or dark grey instead.
- Add a light background to have a better contrast. 
- Effort wise is good.
- Adjust the position of the hat and put it lower. 

Exercise 2:
- The pink and white color can't really define the object
- Try to add solidify to the glass object or else the tips of the glass look jaggy

Week 6: 
Special feedback: 
Exercise 2: 
- Composition wise and material wise, those are good. 
- For the background, it is a bit too dark and blend in too much with the objects, so try to choose a lighter colour for both the floor and the background. 

Week 7: 
Special feedback: 
Exercise 3: 
Good job on the furniture. Like the details but maybe just lighten up the background. 

Week 9: 
Special feedback: 
Exercise 4: 
Good job for the black part of the handle. Just change the angle of the karambit maybe like a 3/4 angle and remove some wireframes for the pointy end of the weapon. 


REFLECTIONS
Week 1 - 2 ( Exercise 1: Modeling from primitive objects):
If I'm being really honest, learning how to use a blender was rather difficult. I frequently felt perplexed and confused since there were so many tools and shortcuts that I had to learn all at once. I had to revisit the lessons that the instructor had recorded as well as conduct some independent research. I underestimated how difficult it would be to come up with the character. I believe that I initially set the bar too high for where I am at right now. I was thus disappointed when it didn't come out as well as I had hoped. But I didn't want to give up just like this. So, I just went for something more appropriate for my level and managed to finish it :)

Week 3 - 4 (Exercise 2: Cylindrical Modeling):
The exercise was challenging at first, but once I understood the basic concept, it became much easier. I understand how to use Blender better than I did during exercise 1. It was fun to colour the objects and also model them. I actually quite liked doing this exercise since it taught us new tools. 

Week 4 (Exercise 3: Box Modeling): 
This assignment was a little hard for me because I wasn't sure how to model with a cubic shape. I had to go through a lot of trial and error to figure it out. In order to better understand how to approach this new issue, I first had to evaluate the bookshelf's shape. Additionally, I ran into some issues with the bookshelf's curved sections. 

Week 5 - 7 (Exercise 4: Karambit Modeling):
This last assignment challenged me quite a lot if I were to be honest. There were some parts where I got confused a lot and struggled to understand how I should proceed or what tools I need to use. At the end, I'm just glad I managed to do something at least a bit decent.
