INSTRUCTIONS
Week 10:
Final Project
We are required to produce an organic 3D model of a character from a model sheet. We can use an existing character as well.
I decided to do Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas. However, I chose a chibi and cuter version of Jack as the original one would've been too challenging for me.
Week 14:

Week 15:
Process
I started by modeling the face of my character. I started with a cube shape and then started modeling it according to the structure of the face.

Once I achieved the desired facial shape, I proceeded to carve out the eyes. Employing techniques such as extrude, scale, and inset, I meticulously shaped the eye contours to obtain the desired outcome. Subsequently, I made adjustments and fine-tuned the wireframe to refine the overall appearance.
To achieve symmetrical features, I employed the mirror modifier. This allowed me to replicate the sculpted eye shape on the opposite side.
Next step was to carve out the smile by using bevel and a bit of tweaking for the vertices.

After finishing the details on the face, I started to model the clothes. To begin, I utilised a cube shape to craft the main body of the tie, and then used a plane shape to form the ribbon section.

After finishing the bow tie, I started modeling the body which was honestly a big challenge for me. Doing the chest itself took me multiple trials because it looked so odd or was not proportionate enough.
After completing the main body of my character, I moved on to modeling the clothes. I took the existing body and duplicated it, making some adjustments to transform it into a clothing shape. I also made sure to add more details and solidify it to create a realistic appearance for the clothes.

I finally completed my character. Here's the non-coloured version of it.
I finished rendering Jack. For the clothing, I simply selected multiple stripes from the wireframes in edit mode and filled them with a white color.

Final Project: Organic Modeling
Here's the final coloured version for my character Jack Skellington. I opted for a theme inspired by Jack, incorporating colors and lighting that evoke a Halloween atmosphere. Even
though they almost look the same, I couldn't decide which angle was better so I decided to just put both :,D

FEEDBACKS
Week 15:
- For the right hand, try to show more the index and middle fingers.
- Put the body more to the right side when rendering so that it's more pleasing to the eye.
REFLECTIONS
Week 14 - 15:
I'm feeling incredibly relieved that I managed to complete my final project, even with the one-week extension. It was a real challenge for me because I had never worked with organic shapes before. However, I was determined to push myself and explore new techniques. Considering it was my first attempt, I think I did a decent job overall, although I'm not entirely satisfied with how the hands turned out. Throughout the process, I discovered numerous shortcuts, like using CTRL+Left to select multiple objects, and I learned how to duplicate shapes to create the clothing. However, duplicating the shapes for the clothes also added some stress, as the original body had to look flawless or at least visually appealing. Thankfully, I didn't struggle much with the wireframes, which was a pleasant surprise. All in all, this final project provided me with a valuable learning experience, allowing me to acquire new tools and skills. I can confidently say that I've grown as a result of this project.
